Whilst I appreciate that he should not fly if the conditions are unsuitable and there is a possibility of harming others, accidents can happen. I would feel happier about his exploits if he had soom form of third party insurance. Is there anybody out there who is aware of insurance companies in the UK that can provide this type of cover? Join a club. Many of the major clubs provide such third party cover to their members, either as part of the basic deal or an extra-cost add-on. You may not find one in your immediate vicinity, but most clubs are happy to accept members from anywhere !:). For instance, the Golden Valley club, Loddon Valley club ( mine.. ), Avon club, White Horse club, Brighton club, Red Dragon club etc etc all do insurance. I would imagine the contact details are all in the addresses portion of the FAQ, but I don't have it to hand right now. However, from the KiteFlier : Dianne Butler, Great Ouse Kite Flyers, 511 Fullbridge Road, Werrington, Peterborough, Cambs, PE4 6SB tel. 0733 571958 - membership 7.00, club insurance cover up to 2,000,000. -- Mark de Roussier ************************************ A nice man is a man of nasty ideas. The premium is 5 pounds a year and provides cover for 500,000 pounds third party liability. If you buy such a kite from them, the first years insurance premium is free.
