FramExtractor v1.0  -  Help

Info:
FramExtractor has the possibility to extract frames from movie-files and save them as a bitmap.
Basically, the program takes a screenshot of a selected frame; each time a frame is saved, a little snapshot-icon
will appear in the traybar.
Currently, the following movie-formats are supported: mpg, mpeg, mpa, mpe, m1v, mpv2, avi, asf and wmv.
A selected frame will be saved as a Windows Bitmap (*.bmp).

Usage:
There are 10 image-buttons on the bottom of the interface. The tooltips explain their functions.
From left to right:

Open a movie-file - opens a dialog to select a movie-file

Play movie-file

Stop movie-file

Rewind to startposition - takes the movie back to the beginning

One frame backward - go one frame back

One frame forward - go one frame ahead

Enlarge framesize - enlarges the moviescreen (up to 4x)
   - normal screen   200x150 pixels
   - 1x enlarged       240x180 pixels
   - 2x enlarged       280x210 pixels
   - 3x enlarged       320x240 pixels
   - 4x enlarged       360x280 pixels

Reduce framesize - reduces the moviescreen (down to 4x)

Save frame as bitmap - saves current frame (in selected framesize) as a Windows Bitmap (*.bmp)

Help - shows this file

Bugs:
- Saving frames from *.asf and *.wmv movie-files sometimes results in a black box, so nothing could be captured.
- FramExtractor has not been tested on Windows XP, but I expect no problems.
